Food and drinks—A lunch box and water will be provided. Soft drinks and alcoholic drinks will be available at the clubhouse before and during the round. A beverage cart will navigate the course, and a snack shack will be halfway through the round.

Immediately following the round, we will all meet near the clubhouse to hand out prizes and celebrate the funds we raise.

PRE-TOURNAMENT

Come early to participate in raffles, warm up at the driving range, and play in our Putting and Circle Drill Contests!

PUTTING CONTEST

Donation: $10 for 2 balls

The Putting Contest will begin at 12:00 PM at the clubhouse putting green. Aim at various prize targets on the green. Hit the prize with your ball and win!

Zig Zag Drill

$20 per team

You and a partner will compete in a time-trial Zig/Zag race on the putting green to get your ball in the hole in the shortest amount of time! The winning duo will be the one with the shortest run and will receive a valuable prize!

CIRCLE DRILL

The Circle Drill is a one-rep putting contest in which every participating player will focalize into a large circle around the putting green and will shoot one ball towards a singular hole all AT THE SAME TIME. The winner(s) are the balls that make it IN THE HOLE. This will be the last event before everyone heads over to their carts to prepare for the round.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT & RULES

  1. This tournament is a four player team scramble. This means for EVERY SHOT, the team chooses the best of all four balls and hits from that location, including putts.

  2. Each team must use at least one of each shot type from every player throughout the round: one drive, one approach, one putt.

  3. The maximum score for each hole will be bogey. This is to ensure that the pace of play stays reasonable. Please keep up with the group in front of you.

  4. Balls out of bounds cause a one-stroke penalty and the drop must be placed in the path of the shot taken.

MULLIGANS, YARD STICKS, AND HARTWELL NUDGES

All proceeds from mulligans, yard sticks, and Hartwell Nudges donations will go toward the overall scholarship fund.

Mulligans are available with a donation of $20 per team, for one mulligan per team member. There is a maximum of two mulligans per team. BONUS: at maximum donation of $40 from the team, each player on the team gets one FREE Hartwell Nudge*.

Yard Sticks are available with a donation of $40 per team. Use the yard stick as a way to pretend you're a good putter! If you miss a putt by 6 inches, draw a line at six inches on your yard stick, and the putt counts! You only have one yard TOTAL for the entire tournament, so be smart about how you use your inches!

*A Hartwell nudge (named after the legend Matthew "Zaddy" Hartwell), is a free nudge to fix a lie, escape a minor out-of-bounds situation, or get away from a tree. It can only be nudged a few feet and cannot be used on the green.

LONGEST DRIVE AND CLOSEST TO THE PIN

Longest Drive will be held on Hole 14: a beautiful downhill, down-wind Par 4 with great views. There will be a marker on the fairway to record where your drive ended. Sign off on it if your ball passes the current record holder, and adjust the marker to the ball's location.

Closest to the Pin will be held on Hole 17:  a stunning downhill Par 3. There will be a marker (male and female) with tape measure on the side of the green to measure your distance and record.
